How are commissions calculated?

Commissions are calculated based on the rules you define for each unit or deal. You can set a fixed percentage or a specific flat amount at the time of booking, and the system processes the payable amount accordingly.

What happens to commission if a file is canceled?

Our system respects local market norms. Once the commission criteria (e.g., 25% recovery) is met and paid, it is recorded as a finalized expense. If the file is canceled later, the system handles the client refund separately without forcing a reversal of the broker's payout.

Does this link to the Accounts module?

Seamlessly. When a commission is approved, it automatically posts a liability to the 'Commission Payable' ledger in the Finance module, so your accountant knows exactly who needs to be paid.
